ZTPass PIV Applet Added to the GSA Approved Products List (APL)

Introduction

Federal agencies have a clear mandate when it comes to identity products.  Under OMB Memorandum M-19-17, they're required to procure only products and services that are compliant with OMB policy, NIST standards, and the technical specifications on the GSA Approved Products List (APL) when implementing HSPD-12 and ICAM.

That list just got a new entry.

ZTPass Inc. is proud to announce that our ZTPass PIV Applet v2.0 FIDO2.1, running on the NXP P71D600, has been officially added to the GSA APL under Certification Number 1514, following successful evaluation by the FIPS 201 Evaluation Program.

What This Approval Means

The GSA APL is a core piece of the federal government's Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) framework. Listing on the APL confirms that a product has passed a rigorous, government-wide evaluation - including testing against ISO and ANSI published standards - and meets the compliance and interoperability requirements.

With Certification No. 1514, ZTPass's PIV smart card solution is now available for procurement by every federal agency, giving them a validated path to deploy our applet with confidence.

Approved Product Details:

Product: ZTPass PIV Applet v2.0 FIDO2.1 on NXP P71D600

       Category: PIV Card

       APL Certification Number: 1514

       Part Number: B9F1

       Hardware Version: D600

Why It Matters

This milestone gives U.S. federal agencies a validated way to procure and deploy ZTPass PIV smart card solutions, supporting HSPD-12 mandates and advancing secure, interoperable identity infrastructure across government environments.

The approved solution combines PIV and FIDO2.1 authentication on a secure hardware platform powered by the NXP P71D600 secure element - enabling credential management, and support for Zero Trust architectures.

"Achieving GSA APL approval is a significant milestone for ZTPass and a testament   to our commitment to delivering secure, standards-based identity solutions," said a   spokesperson at ZTPass. "Our PIV smart card technology combines FIDO2.1 and PIV   capabilities to enable phishing-resistant, passwordless authentication for modern   federal and enterprise environments."

Built for Zero Trust and What Comes Next

With this approval, ZTPass strengthens its position in delivering high-assurance, hardware-backed authentication that aligns with evolving federal cybersecurity requirements and supports the shift to passwordless authentication.

This is the standard we build to: phishing-resistant, hardware-backed, future-ready authentication - now validated for federal use at the highest level.

Conclusion

GSA APL Certification No. 1514 isn't just a compliance checkbox - it's confirmation that ZTPass's PIV smart card technology meets the government's most rigorous identity security standards, and it's now ready for agencies to deploy.

Authentication starts at the source. ZTPass is built for what comes next.
